[1917]. 22.5x20 cm (folded to 22.5x10 cm), pp. [1-20] (not paginated), 27 illustrations from photographs, other smaller drawings in the text, front cover is a double page illustration by Bryn, 2 maps, one a double page map of Yosemite Valley, printed in orange and black, pictorial self wrappers, stapled. Probable second printing of the second edition. Caption title is "Yosemite Valley and the Big Trees." Brochure issued for the 1917 season that includes the "daily schedule of Horseshoe Route Auto Service for 1917." The second of at least two printings for the season of 1917, one printed in 1916, and this one printed in 1917. There is an earlier version of this brochure in this format for the 1915 season. The route between Merced and Wawona is operated by the Madera-Yosemite Big Tree Auto Co. while within the park services are operated by the Desmond Park Service Co. The ubiquitous Yosemite Stage & Turnpike Company has switched from horses to horsepower for their "new" Horseshoe route, running motor cars from Wawona to Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point. A very good copy. (#167150).
