[Sierra Nevada; Sequoia National Forest; Converse Basin Grove?] TWO PHOTOGRAPHS OF LOGGING IN A GIANT SEQUOIA GROVE [title supplied]. Albumen prints. N.p., n.d. Two photographs, circa 1890s-1900, probably taken in or near Converse Basin (now part of Sequoia National Forest). One image shows a team of lumberjacks and a donkey engine, the other shows a lumberjack on the ground hoisting an axe to a fellow worker half way up a large felled tree. Photographs not attributed, but if logging in a southern grove, perhaps by local photographer C. C. Reedby Curtis. Lovely images. (#167151).
