To the members of the Sierra Club: At the meeting of the Directors on Saturday last it was determined to bring the following matters to the attention of the members: ... [caption title]. The matters are: observing, measuring and photographing glaciers in the Sierra Nevada for Dr. Harry Fielding Reid of Johns Hopkins University (noted American geophysicist who was then studying Pacific Coast glaciers), collecting High Sierra rocks for USGS geologist H. W. Turner as well as collecting "specimen cones from the higher altitudes so that the range of distribution particularly of alpine varieties may be ascertained," possible work on High Sierra trails, an itemized list of High Sierra reports, maps and about 100 photographs deposited in the Sierra Club library by noted Sierra Nevada explorer Theodore S. Solomons, and placement of register boxes on Sierra peaks. Not in Currey and Kruska. Horizontal center crease, some tanning, a very good copy. (#167202).
