Inscribed by Findlay Sackett on the first blank. Collects five stories. The title story a romantic ghost story. "The Valley Tragedies" is criminous. Findlay Sackett (1856-1936), 80-year old retired New York City customs broker, was found dead, with a shotgun near by, in New Jersey in June 1936. Wright (III) 1300. Bleiler (1978), p. 52.
