Single sheet, 27.3x6.5 cm, printed on both sides. 1 illustration, 1 drawing. The ski lodge at Badger Pass, the "Switzerland of the West," opened in December 1935. This leaflet promotes the Yosemite Ski School (founded in 1928, the first of its kind in the western United States), at the time directed by Luggi Foeger, and mentions the Constam T-bar lift for skiers constructed at Badger Pass in the Fall of 1946. The verso advertises Aloid Base Wax. Recruited by Dr. Don Tressider of Yosemite, Austrian mountaineer Luggi Foeger reached California just ahead of World War II to head up the ski school at Badger Pass. During World War II Foeger was a member of the 10th Mountain Division. Following the war he returned to Yosemite to direct the ski school.
