San Francisco: J. J. Cook, n.d. [1874]. Single sheet, 15.8x10 cm, with map printed on verso. First (only?) edition. A brief description of three routes to Yosemite: Mariposa, Coulterville and Stockton routes. The leaflet, issued in 1874, states that the Coulterville route "is the shortest, quickest and cheapest way to get to Yo Semite, without horseback riding, as the new Coulterville and Yo Semite Turnpike is now completed." The map on the verso is "Map of Rail & Stage Routes and Trails to Big Tree Groves and Yosemite." The leaflet is similar to one issued by Thomas Houseworth & Co., Yo Semite, big trees and geysers, by all routes ... (Currey and Kruska 157). Small abrasion affecting two letters of "Geysers" in the second line of the title, a very good copy. Apparently unique. (#167550).
