First edition. Cover title is "Pictorial History of the Aqueduct." Commemorative booklet that celebrates the completion of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, an engineering marvel that brought water from the Owens River to Los Angeles. In addition to the text, it provides a detailed photographic history of the construction of the aqueduct, including pictures of those who planned and built it. The folded map is "Map of the Los Angeles Aqueduct and Adjacent Territory October 1908." Rocq 3930. Overlapping edges a bit worn and frayed, wrappers dusty, light crease in rear cover, some foxing to first and last leaves, a very good copy. (#168059).
