The "California Alps" (the southern High Sierra) are briefly described on pages 100-01. There are two maps of Yosemite interest, "Rail & Stage Routes to the Yosemite, the Big Trees and the Geysers," and "Hutchings' Outline Map of Tourist Travel to the Yo-Semite Valley, Big Tree Groves, etc., California." Cloth sunned, a very good copy. Provenance: early owner's inscription on the front free endpaper: "Mary T. Morgan / Rio Vista / Solano County/ California."(#168503).
