Verso prints "Table of Altitudes at Yo Semite Valley." Recommends that Yosemite Valley visitors "on first arriving, should visit G. Fagersteen's Art and Photograph Gallery, and obtain such information as they would like, regarding the points of most interest to visit first ... Also to have their picture taken, with Yo Semite Falls in the back ground." Gustavus Fagersteen was active in the Yosemite region from 1876 through 1890 and, for a time, was associated, in some loose partnership, with S. C. Walker, a photographer based in Stockton, California. Fagersteen operated his own studio in Yosemite Valley from 1886 through 1889. He produced photographic views of Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa big tree grove in 5 x 8-inch format, as well as a very small quantity of stereoscopic cards.
