A translation of Vischer's account of a trip to the mining regions on the western slope of the Sierra published in the Californischer Staats-Kalender, a 36-page pamphlet issued in 1860. His first visit to the Calaveras Big Tree Grove is described on pages 31-32 of the translation. Wrapper edges just a bit tanned, a very good copy. (#168580).
