The Sequoia National Park is it to be enlarged as it should be, or is still more of the original park to be given away? ... [cover title]. [New Haven, Connecticut: Willard G. Van Name, February 1927.]. 25.5 cm, pp. [1] 2-16, 7 illustrations, 1 map, self wrappers, stapled. Van Name, an indefatigable crusader who refused to compromise on conservation issues, was dissatisfied with the 1926 enlargement of Sequoia National Park. He felt the expansion area included commercially worthless land at the expense of valuable units of the original park and here advocated park status for Mineral King Valley, Tehipite Valley, Kings Canyon, Redwood Mountain, and other areas. Outer pages a bit dusty, a very good copy. (#168584).
