Broadside, 34x 25.2 cm (13 1/4x 9 7/8 inches). Charles Brown, a longtime Adirondack Guide and the favorite guide of President Cleveland, killed his friend George A. Berkely, owner of a hotel where the bartender had stopped serving Brown because Brown was drunk. Brown never apprehended. Old mailing folds, vertical center fold with accompanying small holes with loss of parts of letters of text, stained. Nevertheless, a rare, striking piece of Adirondack history. (#168594).
