Government Printing Office, 1930. 23x15 cm, pp. i-ii 1-54, 6 illustrations (on covers), 6 maps (2 folded), original pictorial cream wrappers printed in black, stapled. At head of title: "United States Department of the Interior / Ray Lyman Wilbur, Secretary / National Park Service / Horace M. Albright, Director." Provides general information about Sequoia and General Grant National Parks, rules and regulations for the parks, approved 2 January 1930, and "Authorized rates for public utilities, season of 1930," which provides detailed information on goods and services provided by camps, stores, and transportation within the parks. The maps are: "Map Showing Automobile Road Connections Between the Western National Parks," "Map Showing Railroad Routes to the Western National Parks," "Map of Giant Forest and Immediate Surroundings" (folded), "Central Area of Giant Forest," "Map of Sequoia and General Grant National Parks" (folded), and "Map showing location of principal trees in General Grant National Park." The large folded map of the parks "engraved and printed by the U. S. Geological Survey," shows roads, trails, visitor services, and topographic points of interest, with "good" and "poor" auto roads and trails printed in red. Wrappers have closed splits along upper and lower spine fold and several small water stains along upper edge of wrappers, a good copy. These circulars are chock full of interesting statistics and are underrated as resource material, and all are now uncommon. (#170442).
