Provides descriptions of six Yosemite High Sierra Camps (Little Yosemite; Merced Lake; Boothe Lake; Tuolumne Meadows; Glen Aulin; and Tenaya Lake) and schedule of operation for the season (year not specified), and promotes saddle trips and "all-expense camping tours" in the park's backcountry. Map is "High Sierra Trails Yosemite National Park." "Throughout the Depression the High Sierra camps were consistent money losers. By 1938 there were five of them; those built by Desmond at Merced Lake and Tuolumne Meadows, plus newer ones at May Lake, Glen Aulin, and Vogelsang which had replaced the Boothe Lake site. Camps at Tenaya Lake and in Little Yosemite Valley had been removed" (Shirley Sargent, Yosemite & its Innkeepers ... (Yosemite, CA: Flying Spur Press, 1975), p. 122). This undated brochure, produced prior to 1939, is similar to one for the season of 1927. Among the handful of changes, the address on the rear cover for Crabtree's in Berkeley is charged from "2121 Shattuck Ave." to "2148 Center St." Lower fore-edge corner of front wrapper creased, a very good copy.
