First edition, later printing, variant binding? A "new thought" novella. Part of the publisher's series of "Hour-Glass Stories," small gift books aimed at women readers. The book is copyright 1901. It was listed by PUBLISHER'S WEEKLY 11 May 1901 but the copyright page states "Published March, 1902." This is an early book (the fourth) in the publisher's "Hour-Glass Stories," and only the four are listed in the publisher's ads in the rear of this copy, which states "first four now ready." Nice signed Margaret Armstrong binding. Smith, American Fiction, 1901-1925 K-262. Owner's name on front free endpaper. Spine panel just a bit tanned, else a fine copy. (#173719).
