Two of the stories are fantastic; "My Friend's Ghost," a humorous narrative by a ghost who describes his method of selecting and haunting his victims; and "The Mechanical Man," a dream satire depicting a future Britain depopulated by the invention of mechanical workers who bring prosperity to their owners who buy up the UK and destroy the working class (they are expelled) and the middle class (they are extinct). Not in Bleiler (1948; 1978) or Reginald (1979; 1992). A bright, tight, very good copy. Scarce. (#20087).
