Handwritten letter from Machen to Powys Evans (an artist whose sketched portraits of writers were published in THE LONDON MERCURY) arranging a time to sit for a portrait. "I remember very well. I shall be glad to give you a sitting for another drawing ... There is a difficulty about Saturday evening, since we are always in on that night to anybody who cares to come round ... I suppose it would hardly be possible to make your drawing in the midst of company & movement?" Faint mailing folds, fine. (#96242).
