Bleiler, Science-Fiction: The Early Years 332. Clareson, Science Fiction in America, 1870s-1930s 107. Bleiler (1978), p. 35. Reginald 02280. Heins EL-1. Spine panel sunned (as is often the case with this book), a dozen or so tiny spots (pinhead-sized) on rear cover, touch of age-darkening to rear free endpaper and top edge of text block, a very good copy in bright, very good four-color pictorial dust jacket (reproducing painting by J. Allen St. John on front panel) with two vertical creases in spine panel and another in rear panel near flap fold, narrow internal tape reinforcements along folds and top and bottom edges of front, spine and rear panels, and shallow chipping and fraying at top edge of spine panel with a small external tape remnant. Externally the dust jacket is attractive overall. An uncommon book in dust jacket. (#101904).
