TYPED LETTER SIGNED (TLS). 1 page, dated 30 October 1978, to "Dear Kirby" [McCauley], signed "Dennis." On plain letter-size paper. Discusses some contractual matters concerning his proposed use of lyrics from "Light My Fire" by The Doors. He then moves on to the wording of a paragraph in his short story, "The Spot," sold to Ramsey Campbell for publication in NEW TERRORS, which Campbell considered " a bit heavy-handed and too obvious." He asks for Kirby's opinion of it. He notes that "The novel continues. I get more weary of it, but at the same time more determined to be done and free." Kirby McCauley was probably the most important literary agent of horror, fantasy and sf writers in the boom years of the 1970s and 1980s. Faint creases where folded for mailing, fine. Nice content. (#102325).
