AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED (ALS). 1 page, dated 18 March 1978, to "Dear Kirby" [McCauley], signed "Bill." On plain letter-size paper. Acknowledges receipt of $270 from McCauley ("It came when we were down to under 200 in the our bank, so it is most [underlined] welcome!") Discusses film option for SPACE FOR HIRE, progress on a short story, "The Grackel Question," and outlining a new Logan novel, among other things. Nolan, writer and editor, active in popular fiction genres since the 1950s, is perhaps best known for LOGAN'S RUN and its sequels and adaptations (for the big screen and TV). Kirby McCauley was probably the most important literary agent of horror, fantasy and sf writers in the boom years of the 1970s and 1980s. Faint creases where folded for mailing, fine. (#102659).
