The stories appear to have been first published by Groombridge and Sons in the 1850s as a series of chapbooks and later collected in various configurations and under various titles through the 1870s. Prize label dated 1888 affixed to front paste-down. Cloth rubbed lightly worn at spine ends and corner tips and rubbing along outer joints, a very good copy. Scarce.
