THE STRANGE ADVENTURE OF ROGER WILKINS AND OTHER STORIES. London: Tylston & Edwards, 1895. Octavo, pp. [1-8] [1] 2-280, illustrations by A. Carruthers Gould, original pictorial red cloth, front, spine and rear panels stamped in black. First edition. Nine stories; mixed collection, including several fantasies. Fantasy and humor derivative of F. Anstey but aimed at a somewhat more lowbrow audience. Most of Andom's books are fairly uncommon. Bleiler, The Guide to Supernatural Fiction 19. Bleiler (1978), p. 5. Not in Reginald (1979; 1992). Wolff 315. Hubin (1979), p. 8. Spine panel a bit sunned, a clean, tight, very good copy; much better than usually found. (#115830).
