First edition. Ten stories prefaced by "A Central American Arcadia," a 72-page illustrated article on Costa Rica. Some of the stories (such as "Los Gatos Demoniacos") are spiced with the supernatural, embodying native superstitions of the country. "Un Santo Milagroso," which connects smugglers and a saint's statue, is rationalized. Cloth lightly rubbed at spine ends and corner tips, a very good copy. (#116434).
