First edition. Monograph by a former assistant to the Director of Research of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. Chapter VII discusses rocket power plants. Written at the end of World War II, it was the world's first textbook on supersonic aerodynamics and jet propulsion. Although crudely reproduced by mimeograph process, it received excellent reviews in the scientific community. Not in Ciancone. A very good copy. Rare. (#135515).
