"Between the time Oberth's first book was published in 1923 and the appearance of his WEGE ZUR RAUMSCHIFFAHRT in 1929, a number of other works appeared ... Of these, Hohmann's mathematical treatment of orbital and interplanetary flight mechanics was the most advanced.
