First edition, first state with the textual errors on pages 12 and 92 not corrected. 5000 copies printed. A swashbuckling adventure novel of high romance and intrigue set in the imaginary European kingdom of Lutha. Heins MK-1. Page edges and endpapers just a bit tanned, a fine copy in very good four-color pictorial dust jacket (reproducing painting by J. Allen St. John on front panel) with four nicks and closed tears, each with small internal tape mend, a tiny hole in front flap (no printing affected) with small label pasted over it, and some light general dust soiling to spine and rear panels. A nice example of the uncommon jacket. (#151465).
