(#158580) CYBERSKIN. Paul Collins.

CYBERSKIN. [Ormond, Victoria, Australia]: Hybrid Publishers, [2000]. Small octavo, pictorial wrappers. First edition. In the near future, on an overpopulated Earth, nearly ruined by mammoth natural disasters brought about by global warming, citizens in the "new throwaway society" are encouraged to commit suicide. Those who sign up with Rhinestone Productions as "terminals" are paid a fee to download their persona into virtual reality "splatties," snuff films in which most are killed, often by Calloway, Rhinestone's leading "splattie" star. But some "terminals" are good killers and don't care about others: they don't stick to the script, and they might snuff Calloway just for kicks and still collect a bonus payout. Sargent, British and American Utopian Literature, 1986-2009. Some tiny dents and mild curls to cover edges, a very good or better, unread copy. Scarce. (#158580).

Price: $35.00
