First edition, first printing with "first edition" on copyright page and "Abacadabra," page 11, line 11. Neat early owner's signature dated 1935 at the top edge of the half title page. A poem by Anne Morrow Lindbergh clipped from a newspaper is tipped in on recto of frontispiece and a contemporary review clipped from a magazine is tipped in on the blank verso of the last leaf of text. Top edge stain a bit faded, some tanning to endpapers, still a nearly fine copy in a very good dust jacket with wear and shallow fraying along top and bottom edges and small chip from the upper spine end with loss of most of the "N" in "NORTH," $2.50 price printed on front flap.
