First edition. This copy has a copyright notice and the imprint of Henry W. Rees, Stereotyper on the verso of the title leaf for volume 1, the garbled footnote "*Bra6.db ury. P. 6 / *Breckenridge." is present on page 239 of volume 2, and the first page of the terminal advertisements in volume 2 is titled "BOOKS / PUBLISHED / BY CAREY, LEA & BLANCHARD" and the terminal advertisements are not boxed.
