The first Eurocon was held in Trieste, Italy, 12-16 July 1972. There were three guests of honor: John Brunner for the United Kingdom, Kurt Steiner (André Ruellan) for France and Roberto Vacca for Italy. Forrest Ackerman was in attendance as well as Brian Aldiss, Peter Nicholls, Peter Kuczka, Gustavo Gasparini who was also toastmaster, and others. The elaborate convention book includes biographies of guests of honor and others and an extensive galley of artwork, most reproduced in color. Some tanning to front and rear cover edges, a very good copy. (#163919).
