Scheduled for publication in 1982 by Pocket Books, the series of four books was canceled due to poor sales of the first two. Four or five sets of loose galleys of the 1982 Pocket Books edition of volume three were produced and the galleys are the only form of the original edition. Several sets survive, one sold to the University of Texas by your humble cataloguer in March 1983. Sales projections aside, this is an excellent selection of stories, most are now genre classics.
