Real estate brochure, circa 1910, listing forty-one properties, several sold, with brief descriptions of each with acreage and prices, largely agricultural lands in San Joaquin and Sacramento counties. There were still steamboats providing regular service on the San Joaquin River "with cheap fare and freight rates to San Francisco." Much of the land for sale is in or near Galt, a town between Stockton and Sacramento in California's Central Valley. Among the descriptions is one for "280 acres of fine fruit, table and wine grape lands, 6 miles east of Galt, creek bottom, some fine oak timber. $25 per acre ..." Another property much further south is for "900 acres of choice alfalfa land in Kings County. The adjoining land sold in small tracts from $70 to $100 per acre. This is a fine place to subdivide, or would make a great stock ranch. $10.00 per acre." The cover title reads: "SAN JOAQUIN & SACRAMENTO VALLEY LANDS. INFORMATION FOR THE HOME SEEKER ..."
