Printer's imprint at lower left edge reads: "BENCKE & SCOTT LITH 207 FULTON St. N. Y." The Yosemite Falls print and a print of the Falls of Niagara were offered to each subscriber to DEMOREST'S MONTHLY MAGAZINE. Demorest's, a very popular women's magazine, was published under various titles from 1865 to 1899. From 1878 to 1889 it was called DEMOREST'S MONTHLY MAGAZINE. The print is mounted on cardboard. A printed label is mounted on the verso which advertises the prints and the magazine and includes a five-paragraph description of Yosemite Valley.
