A elaborate work promoting Humboldt County, "carefully and painstakingly" revised from the 1902 first edition, with "many new half-tone cuts," to "reflect accurately the progress of the past two years and the conditions which now obtain here" (foreword). The full-page frontispiece "Map of Humboldt County, Cal. 1901 by J. N. Lentell" shows the Redwood belt in red. The verso is a rainfall chart. Rocq 2041.
