NEW HAMPSHIRE, VERMONT, MAINE, AND MASSACHUSETTS BUSINESS MEN HAVE JOINED TOGETHER AND COMBINED THEIR CAPITAL AND EFFORTS WITH EXPERIENCED MINERS OF THE GOD FIELDS OF NOME ALASKA SO AS TO EFFECT THE FORMATION OF A GREAT MINING COMPANY [cover title]. [Manchester, N. H. The Corson Gold Mining Company of Alaska], n.d. [1901]. 24.7x17.5 cm, pp. [1] 2-16, illustrations from photographs, original goldenrod wrappers printed in red and black, stapled. A prospectus for The Corson Gold Mining Company of Alaska, a consolidation of fifty twenty-acre properties along "the richest creeks" in the Nome and adjacent districts with options to buy more claims. The districts in which the company's claims were located are described. Its properties were largely undeveloped and their potential yield is speculation. The company's plan was to use hydraulic mining to extract the gold. The Corson Gold Mining Company, incorporated in December 1901 under the mining laws of Arizona, brought New England capital together with Alaska miners. Ultimately, it acquired more than a thousand acres of placer ground in Nome. Wrappers soiled, small chip from lower spine fold, old vertical mailing crease, a good, sound, internally clean copy. (#167061).
