A collection of articles and testimonials by Charles Dudley Warner, Charles Nordhoff and others about southern California's healthful climate and the excellence of the Hotel Del Coronado. Several of the articles were first published in 1890 and 1891, and the date of compilation was 1 April 1891. The first of several printings of this promotional booklet published through 1901. A historic hotel, today "one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort" (Wikipedia). The 399-room hotel opened for business in February 1888. Manager E. S. Babcock was one of the original investors in the property. Rocq 7572.
