The Thousand Island House, one of the grand hotels built during the Gilded Age in the Thousand Islands region, opened in the summer of 1873. Unlike many of the hotels of the era lost in fires, the Thousand Island House enjoyed a fairly long life, lasting 63 years. It closed in the mid 1930s during Great Depression. Rubbed along the fold, outer panels a bit dusty, a very good copy. (#172958).
