The British Interplanetary Society (BIS) was founded in Liverpool by Philip E. Cleator and the group held its first meeting on 13 October 1933. The Society’s JOURNAL OF THE BRITISH INTERPLANETARY SOCIETY, first published in January 1934, presented the Society’s serious work. A fine copy. (#173491).
