Reprinted from THE ATLANTIC MONTHLY, May 1906. This booklet promotes the 14-volume Riverby Edition of THE COMPLETE WRITINGS OF JOHN BURROUGHS. BAL 2178 (noted binding B, no priority established). Owner's name, Robert Palmer, dated 28 November 1906, is written in pencil on the recto of the frontispiece. Tiny chip from the front wrapper at the lower fore-edge corner, 9 mm closed tear in the fore-edge of the rear panel, a very good copy. A photograph of Roosevelt on horseback holding a rife is laid in. Enclosed in a custom red cloth clamshell box. (#174279).
