Second printing. A presentation copy inscribed "with the author's compliments" to a Vancouver M. D. First published in 1890, this is the second printing of the major early work on California's mineral springs, and a tourist guide to the state's heath resorts associated with them. Includes many engravings of the resorts. Winslow Anderson (1860–1917), a graduate from the Medical Department of the University of California in 1884, was a prominent San Francisco surgeon with a specialty in gynecology and abdominal surgery.
