First edition. Dated "September, 1873" on the front cover. 19 of the 46 pages of text (the remainder is advertising matter) are devoted to the White Mountains. Many of the illustrations depict landscape and accommodations in the region and one of the folded maps is "Map of White Mountains and Vicinity." In addition to this 1873 edition, the AAS has copies dated 1874 and 1875. Bent, p. 6. Wrappers worn at edges, internally fine. All issues of this travelers' guide are uncommon. (#175414).
