First edition. A profusely illustrated promotional for Fresno County, California, and its prominent citizens whose visages, homes, farms and businesses are pictured throughout. The superbly reproduced photographs in this book were taken by Edgerton Ryerson Higgins, a pioneer California photographer who spent over thirty years as an operator for Bradley & Rulofson, Houseworth and others, later by himself and with others in Fresno. Higgins made a special trip to the Sierra Nevada to photograph the Kings Canyon region for this book (see page 144). Rocq (1970) 1995. A very good copy. (#177245).
