Collects five short stories, "Far Future Calling," a radio play about Stapledon's Last Men, and "Interplanetary Man," Stapledon's 1948 address to the British Interplanetary Society, with a 55-page biography and memoir of Stapledon's visit to the U.S. in 1949 by Moskowitz. This is the first book publication of "Interplanetary Man," pp. 209-252, his address to the British Interplanetary Society first published in JOURNAL OF THE BRITISH INTERPLANETARY SOCIETY 7 (November 1948). "Philosophy of man's role in and motivation for space flight, by a well-known British science fiction writer.
