MR. LIMPET.
MR. LIMPET.

MR. LIMPET. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1942. Octavo, drawings by Garrett Price, publisher's pictorial yellow cloth stamped in black, top edge stained yellow green. First edition. One of 800 copies signed by Pratt. Humorous fantasy of a man who is transformed into a talking fish. Filmed in 1964 as "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" with Don Knotts. Front endpapers tanned, a clean, bright nearly fine copy in very good dust jacket priced $2.00 on the front flap with a stain on the lower edge with some show through on the outer surface, some fade to spine panel, and a bit of mild edge wear, the latter due to tight enclosure in the rare publisher's paper box. Formerly author/editor/publisher Donald A. Wollheim's copy with his name rubber stamped on the rear free endpaper. Aside from the jacket stain, this is quite a nice copy. (#178911).

Price: $350.00
