[Circa late 1930s, probably after 1938]. 21.8x17 cm (octavo), pp. [1-16] (not paginated), color illustrations from photographs, publisher's pictorial wrappers, stapled. This variant has "Published by F. J. Baum, Alexandria Bay, N. Y." at the bottom edge of the front wrapper. A collection of postcard-sized views of the Thousand Islands region of northwestern New York State. Curt Teich & Co., founded in January 1899, became the world's largest printer of view and advertising postcards, eventually printing up to 250 million cards annually. The company closed in 1978 and its archives (approximately 2.5 million total items including nearly 500,000 postcard images) are now held by the Newberry Library. A variant of Cole (1976) 415.
