Asher, Neal. COWL. [London, Basingstoke and Oxford]: Tor [Pan Macmillan Ltd., 2004]. Octavo, boards. First edition. Signed on the title page by Asher. Stand alone baroque space opera. 2006 Philip K. Dick Award nominee. "In the complicated nest of associations and influences that marks twenty-first-century space opera, Asher's work clearly acknowledges the influence of Iain M. Banks's Culture sequence, as well as the more intricately cosmological work of Dan Simmons; but has a velocity all its own" (SFE online). A fine copy in fine dust jacket priced £17.99 on the front flap. (#179802).
